Job summary

JBS USA in Marshalltown is seeking a Boiler & Engine Supervisor for the 3rd shift. This exempt, full-time role oversees maintenance of boiler and refrigeration systems, ensures safety, and coordinates with the maintenance team to keep production running smoothly.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED with related refrigeration/boiler experience, and can work across all plant areas, including high-stress environments, while leading teams and complying with OSHA and PSM standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• College experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics according to immediacy and necessity of orders.
• Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.
• Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.
• Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Participate in HAZMAT team to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.
• Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.
• Arrange for completion of required paperwork, such as payroll.
• Monitors and maintains the refrigeration equipment, production equipment, and boiler systems through routine checks, lubrication of equipment, and repair/replacement of parts as needed.
• Maintains appropriate records and reports.
• Complies with all OSHA and company safety standards and policies
• Complies with, maintains, and updates PSM policies, procedures, and compliance reviews.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
