Job summary

JBS USA in Marshalltown, IA seeks an experienced HOT SIDE Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift. The role is exempt and full-time, overseeing maintenance activities across the pork division with focus on safety and reliability of plant equipment.

Responsibilities include prioritizing work orders, coordinating mechanics, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while supporting payroll-related processes and attending scheduled meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of methods, materials, tools and practices used in building, mechanical and electrical trades.
• Requires prior mechanical and related maintenance experience.
• Requires knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics according to immediacy and necessity.
• Monitor production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Perform skilled maintenance including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.
• Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.
• Participate in HAZMAT team for emergency preparedness.
• Promote and encourage safety in maintenance.
• Arrange for completion of payroll-related paperwork.
• Attend meetings as scheduled or called.
