Job summary

MiLà in Sumner, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facility's boilers, ammonia systems and ancillary equipment in peak condition. You will monitor loads, perform preventive maintenance, test water treatment chemicals, and log all activities.

A strong safety mindset and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential. The role requires a high school diploma (certifications preferred), 2+ years in related maintenance, and the ability to pass a physical and respirator fit

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance of boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and related equipment.
• 2+ years in ammonia refrigeration, steam boilers, and air compressor operations (preferred).
• Able to pass physical exam and Respirator Fit Testing.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures, valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair boilers, pumps, valves, and associated equipment.
• Monitor load demands and start/stop equipment to maintain steam and air output.
• Test and adjust water treatment chemical levels and monitor safety devices.
• Log repairs, assist in remedial actions, and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Perform minor repairs and ensure a clean, safe boiler room environment.
