Star Cinema Grill in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking an enthusiastic kitchen team member to support the Culinary Manager with ordering, prep, and inventory while maintaining quality and presentation.

This role requires working on the line during peak hours, learning every station, and training others to uphold safety, sanitation, and service standards; a flexible schedule and a strong customer-service mindset help thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant.
• Able to multi-task.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces.
• Customer service focused and solution oriented.
• Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Food handler's card may be required according to local and/or state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Culinary Manager in all ordering and inventories.
• Assigning accurate prep lists to the team.
• Ensuring the team is following all Safety and Sanitation guidelines.
• Train with consistency around each menu item and all recipes to team members in order to ensure accuracy with quality and presentation.
• Become proficient in each kitchen station, and be comfortable working on the line with the team as needed during peak volume.
• Learning, understanding, and teaching expo and runners how to ensure consistency in quality and presentation, in order to keep hot food hot, and cold food cold.
