Job summary

Roots Natural Kitchen in Morgantown, WV is seeking a BOH Shift Manager to ensure fast, quality service and a welcoming atmosphere for guests. You will lead the Back of House crew, train staff, and uphold cleanliness and stock levels to support daily operations.

You will work closely with the Leadership Team to improve crew leadership and deliver exceptional experiences, while managing shifts and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant management experience preferred.
• Must show empathy for fellow crew members and customers.
• Must bring friendliness and enthusiasm to each day.
• Must lead by example, through humility and resilience.
• Have phenomenal personal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the vision for Roots culture actively to your crew to ensure a special experience.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team and crew to make Roots a great place to work daily.
• Develop crew leadership skills and foster motivation and inspiration.
• Provide excellent, hands-on training and ongoing support to crew.
• Lead and coach your crew to run excellent shifts with great food.
• Ensure food safety practices and standards are maintained at all times.
• Master BOH positions (prep and dish).
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude during all shifts.
