Job summary

Firestone Walker is seeking a BOH Lead in Paso Robles, CA. This role supports kitchen operations, ensures recipes and standards are followed, and trains new staff. You will plan schedules, monitor safety, and help manage food cost and quality control.

The position requires 3+ years in varied kitchen roles, a Food Handlers Card, weekend availability, and strong organization in a fast-paced environment. Compensation reflects hourly CA market norms.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher and 18+ years old.
• Must obtain Food Handlers Card within new hire training period.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Minimum 3 years of varied kitchen experience including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, pizza station, and expeditor.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members and ensure food and products are prepared and served per recipes and standards.
• Learn safety rules and proper operation of kitchen equipment; maintain sanitation.
• Assist with training new kitchen staff.
• Plan work schedules and assign tasks based on activity.
• Keep equipment clean and maintained; follow maintenance programs.
• Assist with PARS ordering procedures and receiving policies.
• Help control food cost using recipes, measures and waste control.
• Ensure items are plated correctly before leaving the kitchen.
• Enforce company policies and communicate violations to management.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and proper food storage and temperature control.
• Fill in to ensure guest service standards and efficient operation.
