Pilot Assessments in Las Vegas is seeking a highly qualified Second in Command for our B737-600NG operations. You will transport passengers and cargo while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance in a demanding jet-cockpit environment.

The role includes flying or monitoring duties, and readiness to assume command if the PIC is incapacitated, with responsibilities spanning pre-flight planning, performance calculations, and strict adherence to FARs and the company Flight Operations Manual.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted U.S. FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with B737 type rating.
• At least 1,500 total in-seat hours as a crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft.
• Current U.S. DOT/FAA First Class Medical (EKG if age 40+).
• Current U.S. DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Current U.S. DHS/TSA Las Vegas airport badge.
• Current U.S. passport or valid U.S. birth certificate, and a current U.S. state-issued driver’s license.
• Compliance with 14 CFR Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121, including the customer-amended age-65 limit.

Job description

What you’ll do

• Serve as Second in Command of a B737-600NG transporting passengers and cargo.
• Operate as pilot flying or pilot monitoring; be prepared to assume command if the PIC becomes incapacitated.
• Safeguard passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft while complying with FAA regulations, company policies, ATC directives, and customer requirements.
• Before each flight, review maintenance logs, planned route, weather reports and forecasts, Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs), and pilot information files.
• Calculate aircraft weight and balance and takeoff/landing performance data.
• Manipulate flight controls, monitor aircraft systems, and manage checklists per the FCOM, FCTM, and QRH.
• Maintain working familiarity with the FARs, AIM, the customer’s Site Procedures Manual, and the company Flight Operations Manual.
• Maintain all training, checking, and currency required by company policy and customer‑amended Part 121.
• Support emergency-response, safety, quality, and environmental programs; complete other duties as assigned.
• Perform in a demanding jet-cockpit environment that may include emergencies, severe weather, turbulence, high noise, and temperature extremes.
