Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients within the diagnostic imaging department.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by Technologists or Radiologists.
• Serves as liaison between Technologists and Nursing staff.
• Performs handoffs of care within the imaging department and hospital unit, reporting any changes in condition.
• Checks all documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Prepares rooms with linen and supplies, keeps rooms clean and safe.
• May assist with scheduling and arranging procedures, and place appointment reminder calls.
• Utilizes information systems as required.
