Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from AHA or Red Cross or Heartsaver CPR.
• Experience in health-related field preferred (6 months).

Responsibilities

• Safely transports patients within the diagnostic imaging department.
• Provides direct patient care as directed by Technologists or Radiologists.
• Serves as liaison between Technologists and Nursing staff.
• Performs hand-offs of care and reports abnormal or urgent signs.
• Checks documentation prior to patient transfer.
• Prepares rooms with linen and supplies; keeps rooms clean and safe.
• Assists with scheduling or reminders for procedures.
• Assists in processing lab specimens for delivery to the lab.
• Utilizes information systems effectively.
