Job summary

Required are a high school diploma and graduation from an accredited sonography program, plus ARDMS certification in OB/GYN or abdomen and BLS. At least three years of hospital ultrasound experience is expected; opportunities for growth exist within a leading medical center.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of Ultrasound Tech experience required.
• Experience in a hospital setting required.
• Applicants with less than 3 years may be considered as Ultrasound Tech I.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of scans from basic to somewhat complex (abdomen, pelvic, small parts, pediatrics, musculoskeletal).
• Assist physicians in performing procedures and transport medications to imaging areas.
• Demonstrate cultural competency and provide patient education.
• Maintain a safe environment and report safety concerns.

• Assist physicians in performing procedures, as well as transport medications from the delivery area to an authorized imaging area
• Exercise your cultural competency in providing patient education
• Maintain a safe environment while identifying and reporting any safety concerns

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Sonography program required

License/Certifications:

• ARDMS OB/GYN or Abdomen certification required
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

Experience:
