Job summary

Open Road Collision group DBA 1st Choice Collision is seeking a motivated Body Technician to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition while delivering exceptional customer care. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency in a blueprint-style production environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of collision repair experience, I-CAR certification preferred, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of collision repair experience required.
I-CAR Certification in body repair and welding preferred.
OEM certification and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes highly valued.
Strong ability to analyze and interpret repair data and measurements.

Responsibilities

Perform quality vehicle repairs as outlined on repair orders in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and requirements.
Complete welding, frame/unibody alignment, body panel repairs, and cosmetic work.
Operate frame machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
Conduct Quality Control (QC) inspections upon completion of work.
Mix chemicals and materials per manufacturer specifications.
Adapt to a blueprint-style production model—may not disassemble vehicles personally.
