Job summary

OpenRoad Collision is seeking a Body Technician to perform quality vehicle repairs and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, while ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience for customers. Work with a team in a safety-conscious, process-driven shop.

You will handle welding, frame alignment, panel repairs, and cosmetic work, using frame machines and standard shop tools. I-CAR certification and attention to detail are highly valued; there are opportunities for growth and competitive

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of collision repair experience preferred.
• I-CAR Certification in body repair and welding preferred.
• OEM certification and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes highly valued.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret repair data and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality vehicle repairs as outlined on repair orders in line with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and requirements.
• Complete welding, frame/unibody alignment, body panel repairs, and cosmetic work.
• Operate frame machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.

Position Overview:

As part of the Open Road Collision group DBA 1st Choice Collision, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality collision repair services with exceptional customer care. Our team is dedicated to restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition while making the repair process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our customers. We're currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Body Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality vehicle repairs as outlined on repair orders in line with manufacturer and industry standards
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and requirements
• Complete welding, frame/unibody alignment, body panel repairs, and cosmetic work
• Operate frame machines and other shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Conduct Quality Control (QC) inspections upon completion of work
• Mix chemicals and materials per manufacturer specifications
• Adapt to a blueprint-style production model—may not disassemble vehicles personally

Requirements
