Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 Base+Commission/year
As Body Shop Technician, you are responsible for performing repairs in areas aligned with your completed training. You are to model behaviors and a culture for success including integrity, respect, drive, community, fun and pride without ego, with self-confidence, and creativity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Measure and adjust vehicle alignment to restore it to factory specifications.
- Ensure all parts are installed correctly, and operate properly (e.g., doors, windows, electrical).
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Communicate with the body shop manager regarding the scope of repairs and progress.
- Communicate with the body shop manager immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the body shop manager.
- Ensures that customers’ cars are kept clean. Notifies the body shop manager immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Keeps service bays and shop area clean daily. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Participate in process and policy discussions of the company to continually adapt to the changing market.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations (i.e. OSHA Right-to-Know), and standards to maintain the legality and business integrity of the Dealership.
- Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks.
- Understanding of vehicle construction, repair techniques, and industry equipment.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Other tasks as assigned.
