Job description

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for our next Automotive Collision Shop Estimator at Wayzata Collision Center. The Automotive Collision Shop Estimator Trainee is responsible for estimating and calculating the cost to repair a vehicle, replace vehicle parts, or the entire vehicle.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write Estimates & Supplements: Review vehicle damage and write quality estimates using CCC One estimating system.
• Collaborate with the teardown, triage team, and senior technicians to write supplements based on discoveries.
• Create repair plans and gather necessary TIS/repair documents, especially for welds on panels. Submit all supplements within 24 hours.
• Coordinate with insurance companies to manage claims and negotiate pricing when necessary.
• Customer Service: Keep customers informed about their repair status and any changes.
• Parts Ordering: Work with the Parts Manager to order and locate needed parts.
• Quality Check: Review all finalized work to ensure standards are met or exceeded.
• File Reconciliation: Ensure all documents are current, signed, and properly filed.
• Assist with completing repair and insurance documentation.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to accurately estimate vehicle damage (preferred)
• Ability to use automated systems for parts ordering (preferred)
• Follow insurance company Direct Repair guidelines (required)
• Experience with CCC and CDK estimating platforms (preferred)
• Experience in estimating, body shop, or automotive fields (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License (required)
