Job summary

Cox Automotive in Texas is seeking an Estimator II QC to provide estimation services for auction areas and to generate accurate reconditioning estimates for body, detail, and mechanic work. You’ll coordinate with maintenance, procurement, and other teams to ensure timely completion and precise pricing of parts.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration, with a flexible benefits package and on-site work at Cox locations. Strong communication and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma/GED with 3 years related experience; or degree and 1 year; or 5 years in related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provides estimation services for an assigned auction area or areas.
• Provides accurate reconditioning estimates for body, detail, and mechanic services.
• Communicates estimates to maintenance, reconditioning, and other teams as required to initiate work.
• Works with procurement/purchasing staff to ensure accurate pricing of parts and supplies.
• Monitors repair status, timelines, transportation and customer communications related to estimates.
• Keeps records of repair/reconditioning details and completes necessary paperwork.
