Job summary

MileOne Autogroup is seeking an experienced Estimator for its body shop. You will examine damaged vehicles and estimate labor and parts costs for repairs or replacements, coordinating with shop staff and insurers.

This role requires strong communication, initiative, and teamwork in a busy environment. The ideal candidate has an associate or bachelor's degree (preferred), a valid driver's license, and knowledge of estimating software.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain repair options clearly.
• High initiative and strong organizational skills for a high-volume estimator role.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with shop managers and technicians.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Review repair cost estimates with shop manager or foreman.
• Determine feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts.
• Prepare insurance forms to indicate estimates and recommendations.
• Estimate costs of repainting, conversions, or customization of vehicles.
• Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Present information and respond to questions from clients and staff.

Estimator Essential Duties

• Reviewing repair cost estimates with a body shop manager or foreman
• Determining the feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts
• Preparing insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations
• Estimating the cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles
• Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Presenting information and responding to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Estimator Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Associate degree or bachelor's degree, preferred
• Confidence to handle high volume estimator needs under limited availability
• Knowledge in Estimating CCC Pathways / CCC One, preferred
• Excellent communication skills, high level of initiative, and ability to work in a team
• Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency, and general mathematic skills
