Job summary

Dal‑Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Body Prep Operator to join our manufacturing team in Sunnyvale, Texas. This role unloads and loads raw materials, monitors flow through the body prep process, and performs quality checks to ensure specifications are met.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience is a plus. The job involves standing for long periods, handling up to 50 pounds, and adhering to safety procedures in a loud plant

Responsibilities

• Unload raw materials from railcar and transport to storage bins.
• Load raw materials into hopper and monitor flow through ball mill and spray dryers.

• Follow standard operating procedures and keep work area safe and organized.

Body Prep Operator

Dal‑Tile is currently seeking a Body Prep Operator to join our MFG TEAM. As the Body Prep Operator, we need someone to unload and load raw materials, monitor flow of material and perform quality control checks on product.

Primary Objective

Monitors flow of raw materials through body prep process.

Major Function and Scope

• Unloads raw materials from railcar and transports to storage bins.
• Loads raw materials into hopper.
• Monitors flow of material through ball mill and into spray dryers.
• Performs various tests to ensure body materials are within specifications and documents results.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing experience a plus.

Competencies

• Routinely working at a height that requires fall protection.
• Good oral communications skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
