Salary Range: USD $23.05/Hr.

Overview

The Job in a Nutshell:

The Body Care Manager is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the Body Care department, as well as training, directing, and monitoring all department staff. Department Managers are responsible for their own department's success and are required to fulfill the duties of the Manager on Duty (MOD) on a scheduled basis.

Responsibilities
  1. Providing World Class Customer Service: Prioritized above all else.
  2. Exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence: Adhering to all policies.
  3. Creating an inviting, full, and shoppable department.
  4. Ordering and maintaining inventory: Ensuring accurate stock levels for the body care department.
  5. Managing margin and profitability: Minimizing shrink and maximizing effective purchasing.
  6. Ensuring product standards: All in-stock products and conditions meet company standards.
  7. Offering and following up on special orders.
  8. Merchandising: Shelves, endcaps, and dynamic displays.
  9. Managing department tasks: Tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock.
  10. Training and supervising staff: Assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
  11. Cross-training staff: Collaborating with other department managers.
  12. Conducting demos: Active and passive.
  13. Hiring support: Assisting in interviewing and hiring.
  14. Addressing performance issues: Working with the store manager.
  15. Store opening and closing: Including DSR and cash processes.
  16. Register functions: Backup cashiering, customer returns, handling complaints, shift changes.
  17. Safety and security: Maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff.
  18. Managing disruptions: Handling situations like loiterers, solicitation, weather, and bathroom misuse.
  19. Customer inquiries: Providing information per company standards, including product and nutritional support statements.
  20. Product knowledge: Continually increasing expertise.
  21. Using software tools: SAP, inventory reports, email, and other IS programs.
  22. Work schedule: Based on store needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, with a 40-hour workweek and mandatory meetings.

All employees are expected to be flexible and proactive in completing tasks to support the company's success.

Qualifications
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Experience: 1-2 years in retail, preferably in grocery or natural foods; supervisory experience is a plus.
  3. Food safety: Ability to pass and maintain relevant certifications.
  4. Skills: Managing priorities, sense of urgency, customer service, organization, following directions, cashier training, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
