Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys
• Settle claims and set reserves
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents
• Analyze and interpret medical reports and manage claims process for efficient resolution
• Interview, collect and document information from claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police
