Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Boat Porter to join our team. As a Boat Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marina by handling, transporting, and maintaining boats with care and precision. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a passion for the boating industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Boat Handling: Safely transport and launch boats in and out of the water using specialized equipment.
2. Customer Assistance: Assist customers with boarding and disembarking boats, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
3. Maintenance Support: Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of boats, ensuring they are presentable and ready for use.
4. Dock Operations: Organize and maintain the dock area, including securing boats and assisting with storage transitions.
5. Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of boats to identify and report any damages or maintenance needs.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the service, rental, and sales teams to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

1. Prior experience in a marina or boating environment is a plus but not required.
2. Ability to operate equipment such as boat trailers and forklifts (training can be provided).
3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
5. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor.
6. A valid driver’s license is required.
