Qualifications

• Welding certification from a technical college or trade school preferred.
• 1 year welding experience at a similar facility preferred; apprenticeship or in‑company program completed.

Responsibilities

• Plans work order procedures and gathers required tools and materials.
• Repairs and fabricates items using cutting, burning and welding techniques.
• Monitors welding process to prevent overheating, warping, or splatter.
• Prepares and tack welds parts and surfaces.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and work area.
• Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
