Job summary

Sayres Defense is seeking a Boat Life Cycle Data Support Specialist to provide analytical, data management, and logistics support for DoD contracts involving boats and small craft assets in Virginia Beach, VA.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of experience in contract data analysis, configuration management, logistics, and asset tracking, with attention to detail and the ability to extract and report data from complex documentation. Hybrid work schedule with 2–3 days onsite weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience analyzing data from government contracts and technical documentation.
• Ability to develop reports and trackers for program management audiences.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, SOWs, CDRLs, and related documentation.
• Extract and maintain boat-level data (hulls, serials, configurations).
• Develop status trackers and data products for stakeholders.
• Enter and maintain lifecycle, asset, and location data in systems.
• Validate data and reconcile discrepancies across records.
• Document baselines, modifications, and as-delivered conditions.
• Coordinate with government offices and logistics personnel.
• Maintain data version control and audit trails.
• Prepare data packages for acceptance and sustainment.
• Support additional data analysis and system support tasks.
