Job summary

Sayres Defense in Virginia Beach, VA, seeks a Boat Life Cycle Data Support Specialist to perform data management, analysis, and logistics support for government contracts involving multiple boats and small craft assets.

The role requires 4-7 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to extract and report boat-level data from complex contract documents, with a hybrid onsite schedule (2-3 days/week).

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of relevant professional experience in contract data analysis, logistics, configuration management, asset management, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience analyzing and extracting data from complex government contracts, technical documentation, and deliverables involving multiple assets, configurations, or delivery locations.
  • Experience developing reports, spreadsheets, trackers, and data summaries for government, technical, or program management audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with lifecycle management, configuration management, property accountability, or enterprise asset management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze government contracts, contract modifications, SOWs, CDRLs, delivery orders, packing lists, configuration baselines, and related technical documentation.
  • Extract, organize, validate, and maintain boat-level data, including hull/identification numbers, serial numbers, configuration variants, installed systems and equipment, delivery locations, acceptance dates, warranty information, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop standardized spreadsheets, status trackers, summary reports, and data products for government program offices, logistics personnel, and sustainment stakeholders.
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate asset, configuration, location, status, and lifecycle information within designated lifecycle management, configuration management, property accountability, and asset tracking systems.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation across contract documentation, delivery records, and system databases; identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support configuration management by documenting baseline configurations, modifications, and as-delivered conditions for individual boats.
  • Coordinate with government program offices, technical representatives, logistics personnel, and other stakeholders to clarify data requirements and resolve data gaps.
  • Maintain data version control, documentation, and audit trails to support data integrity and financial accountability.
  • Support preparation of data packages required for acceptance, transfer of accountability, and transition into sustainment.
  • Perform other related data analysis, reporting, and system support activities as assigned.

Job description

Sayres Defense is seeking a Boat Life Cycle Data Support Specialist to provide analytical, data management, and logistics support for government contracts involving the procurement, configuration, delivery, and sustainment of multiple boats and small craft assets in Virginia Beach, VA.

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of relevant experience supporting contract data analysis, configuration management, logistics, asset tracking, or related DoD programs. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to extract, validate, organize, and report boat-level information from complex contract and technical documentation.

This position is based in Virginia Beach, VA, and supports a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days onsite each week to facilitate collaboration with government and contractor stakeholders, data validation, and program coordination.
