Job summary

Hurawalhi Island Resort is seeking energetic, service-oriented Boat Crew (Local) to manage the day-to-day operation of the vessel and assist passengers under guidance from the Guest Transport Management Team. You will also help with loading, unloading, and safety briefings while maintaining records and vessel upkeep.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a similar role, a neat appearance, and may have Fire Safety and First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• At least one-year previous experience in the same role in a similar environment required
• Fire Safety Training and First Aid Training preferred
• All employees must maintain a neat, personal hygiene, clean and well-groomed (Specific standards available)

Responsibilities

• To organize and maintain the day-to-day operation of the vessel, with the help of respected colleagues, and maintenance of the vessel, by keeping and maintaining the records of the vessel operations, and by organizing the repair, maintenance and cleanliness of the vessel, with the guidance of Guest Transport Management Team.
• Look after all the stuff (luggage and supply items) and assist to all the passengers to load and unload their items.
• To inform and instruct all passengers for the proper usage of safety equipment and to keep the equipment in good condition
• Assist Captain to check the engine and other equipment and give boat condition reports to the Guest Transport Manager before mooring the Dhoni and keep clean and moor in a safe place
