Association of Independent Schools in New England's St. Mark’s School in Southborough, MA seeks a Music Program Director to lead a vibrant modern music program in a boarding-school setting.

The role involves teaching ensembles, organizing performances, mentoring students, and collaborating with chaplains and arts staff. The position reports to the Arts Department Head, with housing and meals provided as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced study preferred.
• Proven ability to direct ensembles and repertoire selection.
• Experience mentoring student musicians in a boarding-school setting.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Arts Department to strengthen music offerings and participation.
• Teach music courses or ensembles annually based on expertise and student interest.
• Organize concerts, recitals, visiting artists, and student performances.
• Mentor student musicians and support external opportunities.
• Partner with Chaplains to lead community singing and Chapel music.
• Oversee private lessons, supervise staff and manage budget and equipment.
• Collaborate with Admissions and Communications to showcase musicians.
• Coordinate facility logistics and rentals with Auxiliary Programs.
• Advise students and participate in residential life.
• Fulfill two seasons of co-curricular duties and lead events like festivals.
