Job summary

Bonneville Seattle is seeking a regular full-time board operator to manage the technical operations of daily news and talk shows. This on-site role at Seattle site requires precise console operation, log maintenance, and timely delivery of broadcasts in line with FCC rules.

The position emphasizes collaboration with hosts and producers, proficiency in editing tools (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Audacity), and contributing digital content while ensuring high-quality on-air presentation.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Proven accuracy and follow-through in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Full focus and ownership of shift on-air console operations; maintain logs, air commercials per logs, air emergency alerts, record satellite feeds, ensure FCC parameter compliance, fix issues before air, update discrepancy reports.
• Become an expert at audio console, Adobe Editing, NewsBoss, and Zetta.
• Edit and post daily podcasts.
• Maintain accurate logs and air emergency alerts.
• Find, record, edit and mix audio on deadline.
• Coordinate the appropriate mix of music and sound for shows; ensure proper levels.
• Cross-train and fill in for teammates as needed.
• Assist producers in creating varied content and best-of libraries.
