Audacy DC is seeking a part‑time Board Operator to join our Programming team in Washington, DC. You will run the control board, manage commercials and IDs, and ensure compliance with FCC regulations while assisting with contests and listener calls.

The role requires prior studio board experience and familiarity with digital editors like Adobe Audition, plus a willingness to work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays. Strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience running a studio board and editing highlights using a digital editor such as Adobe Audition.
• Ideal candidate has radio experience running a sound board, booking guests, and writing/editing audio.
• Previous experience as a radio board operator, preferably at a sports talk station/network.

Responsibilities

• Run the control board, following station format and logs; arrange and play commercials and IDs per logs, obey FCC rules.
• Help administer contests, answer listener calls, screen for live shows; operate satellite receivers; take transmitter readings; conduct EAS tests.
• Must be detail‑oriented and available to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

The anticipated starting salary range for Washington, DC. based individuals expressing interest in this position is $18.00/Hr. - $25.00/Hr.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

• Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to the program and commercial logs, following applicable laws and FCC regulations

• Help administer contests, answer listener phone calls, screen listener calls for live shows, operate satellite receivers, take transmitter readings, conduct EAS tests, etc.

• Must be detail-orientated person available to work evenings, overnights, weekends, vacation fill-in and holidays.

Required & Preferred:

• Previous experience running a studio board, editing play-by-play highlights and interviews using a digital editing program such as Adobe Audition is required.

• The ideal candidate will have previous radio experience running a sound board, booking guests, write and editing audio.

• Previous experience as a radio board operator, preferably at a sports talk radio station/network.

• Must have experience with digital operating system (Media Touch, Audio Vault, Enco or Profit).

• Must be a team player, computer savvy and have the flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, overnights and holidays.

• Minimum Education Level: HS diploma or equivalent.
