Job summary

iHeartMedia Markets is seeking a Board Operator to ensure broadcasts run smoothly and sound great across live and pre-recorded shows.

You will operate the broadcast console, monitor programming for quality, and coordinate with talent and traffic teams to ensure accurate ad placement, while troubleshooting issues in real time and maintaining compliance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with broadcast equipment is a plus.
• Certifications or coursework are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions and ad placements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate when needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Handle remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and compliance with FCC regulations.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and elevate as needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

What You'll Need:

• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.
