Job summary

Hyve Solutions seeks an early-to-mid career hardware engineer to assist with schematic capture, component selection, and design reviews for next‑generation compute and GPU server boards. You will support PCB layout reviews under senior guidance and learn board-level design methodologies for high‑performance servers.

You will participate in board bring-up, validation, and data collection across EVT/DVT/PVT stages, while maintaining BOMs and design docs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 1–4 years of hardware design, board design, validation, internship, or co-op experience.
• Fundamental understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles.
• Experience with schematic capture tools and exposure to PCB layout processes.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
• Understanding of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDR memory, or related technologies.
• Knowledge of power delivery fundamentals and basic signal integrity concepts.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with schematic capture, component selection, and design reviews for next-generation compute and GPU server boards under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support PCB layout reviews and help ensure adherence to design guidelines and best practices.
• Learn and apply board-level design methodologies for high-performance server systems.
• Participate in board bring-up activities during development cycles.
• Execute validation and qualification test plans throughout EVT, DVT, and PVT phases.
• Collect, document, and analyze bench test data to support engineering decisions.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), schematics, engineering change orders, and design documentation.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and proper revision control throughout product development.
• Support release-to-manufacturing activities and engineering documentation updates.
• Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware issues at the board and system level.
• Support root-cause analysis efforts and track corrective actions through closure.
• Utilize laboratory equipment to validate designs and verify hardware functionality.
• Work closely with SI/PI, thermal, power, layout, manufacturing, and validation engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and learn industry best practices for server hardware development.
• Support engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle from concept through production.
