Job summary

Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, Inc. (CHC) seeks a Primary Care Physician to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare under the Chief Medical Officer at CHC clinics in California.

Candidates must hold an MD or DO, complete a residency in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN or Pediatrics, and be Board Certified or eligible. A California license, DEA registration and HIPAA familiarity are required; bilingual English/Spanish is desirable to serve diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN or Pediatrics is required.
• Board Certified or board eligible.
• Possession of DEA license and ACLS/PALS/BLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Secures and evaluates a patient's health history and records findings in a systematic, accurate and succinct manner.
• Performs a physical assessment and is able to discriminate between normal and abnormal findings.
• Provides routine physical examinations, diagnostic services and treatment of illnesses and emergencies.
• Adheres to the highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
• Assures quality of care for all patients.
• Shares on-call duties, when indicated, with other members of the medical staff.
• Comprehensive patient education and chronic disease management.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and professional conduct.
