Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services seeks two Board Certified Oncology Physicians to serve at the Buffalo VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. This is a 1099 full-time role providing on-site general oncology services to veterans.

The physicians will deliver high-quality, compassionate care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in multidisciplinary teams, with standard and on-call coverage as defined by the contract.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice medicine in any US state, territory, or DC.
• Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Medical Oncology.
• Active BLS or ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience.
• DEA registration is required.
• Provide at least 3 professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in inpatient and outpatient oncology settings.
• Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consults for outpatient oncology.
• Take medical history, perform examinations, order tests, and plan/treat.
• Coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other personnel.
• Perform administrative tasks such as peer review and ongoing professional evaluations.
• Provide oncology on-call coverage as assigned.

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 2 full-time Board Certified Oncology Physicians to provide necessary oncology services to Buffalo VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.

Job Summary

Oncology Physicians must provide services necessary to perform onsite General Oncology services to the veteran community located at the Buffalo VA Medical Center. Oncology Physicians are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to all individuals.

Duties

• Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in an inpatient and outpatient clinic setting.
• Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consults from primary care and other services for outpatient oncology consultations.
• Obtain medical history, conduct physical examinations, order, and evaluate appropriate laboratory testing, and plan and prescribe treatment for patients.
• Coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other personnel in a multidisciplinary health care delivery system.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned such as peer review and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations.
• Provide oncology on-call services as assigned.

Qualifications

• Shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
• Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Medical Oncology Board
• Must have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Health Association
• Minimum of 1 year of Oncology experience
• Must have Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
• Be able to provide at least 3 professional references

Schedule

• Standard Coverage Days. Provide physician coverage during standard business hours for three (3) days per week. Weekly Coverage Hours: From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on each assigned day, totaling twenty-four (24) hours per week.
• On-Call Coverage Weeks. Provide on-call physician coverage for seventeen (17) weeks per calendar year. Weekly Coverage Hours: For each assigned week, on-call coverage for all hours outside standard business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM), totaling one hundred twenty-eight (128) hours per week shall be provided.
