Qualificações

• MD or DO with completion of a Radiation Oncology residency.

• Board certified by ABMS or AOA.
• Completion of an accredited residency (ACGME).
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted medical license.
• Active BLS certification.

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to provide services at the 88th MDG Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Job Summary

The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, preventive health services, and emergency medical care within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). The Psychiatrist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide clinical guidance and education to healthcare staff, and coordinate referrals and specialty care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

• Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF
• Clinically direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
• Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
• Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
• Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
• Coordinates with facility and community resources to provide multi- disciplinary comprehensive care to all patients, considering factors such as new and/or emerging procedures and techniques and the patient's personal history, as well as information gained through diagnostic tests.
• Performs emergency services or crisis intervention, including life‑saving emergency procedures when necessary. Required to move, manipulate, lift patients with the assistance of other medical staff.
• Promotes preventative and health maintenance care, stresses positive health behaviors and self-care through education and counseling. Encourages patients to make difficult lifestyle changes to improve their health and provides follow‑up treatment and care to patients to ascertain compliance with therapy and response to treatment.
• Provides advice by telephone and/ or in person to other physicians, non‑physician providers, and other professional medical staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non‑urgent medical problems.
• Serves as member of the professional medical staff and/ or faculty providing advisory and consultative services on various meetings, committees, conferences, and/or boards that relate to duties under this task order.
• Evaluates the care provided to patients at MTF, identifies opportunities to change the care delivered, advises on difficult or complex cases, and recommends corrective action when problems exist.
• Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) functions, performance improvement programs, risk management programs, and peer review programs. Make recommendations on improvement of work methods and organizational features.

Qualifications

• Degree/Education: MD or DO medical degree with a completion of a Radiation Oncology residency
• Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification
• Must be board certified by a board that is member of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
• Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Must have an active BLS (AHA preferred)
