Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services seeks two Board Certified Oncology Physicians to serve at the Buffalo VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. This is a 1099 full-time role providing on-site general oncology services to veterans.

The physicians will deliver high-quality, compassionate care in both inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in multidisciplinary teams, with standard and on-call coverage as defined by the contract.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice medicine in any US state, territory, or DC.
• Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Medical Oncology.
• Active BLS or ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience.
• DEA registration is required.
• Provide at least 3 professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in inpatient and outpatient oncology settings.
• Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consults for outpatient oncology.
• Take medical history, perform examinations, order tests, and plan/treat.
• Coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other personnel.
• Perform administrative tasks such as peer review and ongoing professional evaluations.
• Provide oncology on-call coverage as assigned.
