Miami VA Healthcare System is seeking (3) full-time physicians to join the Specialty Care Service as Gastroenterologists at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, Florida. The role focuses on outpatient GI and liver-related care within a comprehensive VA setting.

Candidates must be board-certified in Gastroenterology with a valid unrestricted US license. The position offers a comprehensive VA benefits package and Education Debt Reduction Program eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed physician with unrestricted medical license in a US state.
• Board-certified in Gastroenterology.
• English language proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsabilités

• Works in out-patient clinics as assigned for treatment of gastroenterological/liver-related and other conditions
• Performs History and physicals on all assigned patients
• Participates in (Gastro) Clinics and/or manages independent clinic
• Provides Patient and family communication and education as necessary
• Participates in education of medical and (Gastro) residents and nursing staff
• Responds rapidly in emergency situations and keeps medical staff informed of all changes in a patients' condition
• Consistently demonstrates expertise in diagnosing and treating (Gastro) patients and performing diagnostic tests
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday- 8:00 Am - 4:30 PM (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor)
• The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs)
