Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certification with Special Education endorsements.
• Background in Special Education, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Strongly preferred experience as a school counselor, LPC, BCBA, or with a psychology/social work background.
• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Proficient in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor effective BIPs tailored to student needs.
• Lead FBAs to identify behavioral challenges and guide interventions.
• Participate in ARD, IEP, RtI, and 504 meetings, providing behavioral insights and recommendations.
• Support classrooms in behavior management, acting as a resource for teachers and staff.
• Offer crisis intervention and contribute to a positive school climate.
