Job summary

Rivermont Schools in Virginia is seeking a dedicated BCBA to design, implement, and oversee evidence-based behavioral programs that support students with emotional and developmental challenges.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote positive behavior and meaningful progress, while ensuring fidelity to ABA/VB approaches and thorough data documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field as required.
• BCBA certification or licensure eligibility in VA.
• Experience supervising in school or community settings with individuals with disabilities.
• Expertise in ABA and Verbal Behavior practices.
• Valid VA driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment and behavior plans.
• Provide clinical supervision, staff training, and performance feedback to ensure fidelity.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate strategies.
• Monitor data and outcomes to guide program adjustments and student progress.
• Deliver direct services and crisis support while maintaining documentation compliance.

Education

Master’s degree in human services / education / psychology / counseling / social work

BCBA certification or Virginia licensure eligibility

Supervisory experience in school/community-based setting

ABA & VB practices expertise

Valid Virginia driver’s license

What You'll Need

• Master’s degree in human services, education, psychology, counseling, social work, or related field

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or licensure eligibility as a Behavior Analyst by the Virginia Board of Medicine

• Supervisory experience in a school or community-based setting serving individuals with disabilities

• Expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB) practices

• Valid Virginia driver’s license in good standing

• Provide clinical supervision, staff training, and ongoing performance feedback to ensure program fidelity and quality

• Monitor data and outcomes to guide program adjustments and ensure progress toward student goals

• Deliver direct services and crisis support as needed, maintaining compliance with all clinical and documentation standards
