Job summary

Java Autism Services is seeking an Assistant Director of Professional Development to mentor, guide, and elevate our Student Analyst Program, ensuring BCBAs are clinically strong, ethically grounded, and confident in their practice.

This role partners with the Director of Professional Development to shape supervision, implement BACB standards across home, community, and clinic settings, and drive leadership growth within our growing organization.

Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification and Arizona Licensed Behavior Analyst in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BCBA.
  • Passion for mentorship and developing early-career clinicians.
  • Experience with a variety of behavior analytic assessments and treatment approaches.
  • Ability to work across home, community, and clinic settings.
  • Strong understanding of BACB supervision requirements.
  • Ability to deliver and receive clear, compassionate feedback.
  • Growth mindset and leadership potential.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor early-career clinicians as they deliver clinical direction, conduct behavior analytic assessments, and provide caregiver training.
  • Provide direct oversight to Assistant Clinicians and Senior Assistant Clinicians within the Student Analyst Program.
  • Model and teach effective supervision practices rooted in compassionate, assent-based care.
  • Deliver high-quality feedback that strengthens clinical decision-making, confidence, and professional growth.
  • Ensure supervisees are implementing services with fidelity across settings including home, community, and clinic.
  • Provide RBT supervision as needed to maintain compliance with BACB supervision requirements.
  • Utilize all ABA service codes to deliver effective Behavioral Skills Training including instruction, modeling, rehearsal, and feedback.
  • Support development and oversight of treatment plans and clinical programming.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development to refine and enhance the supervision program.
  • Ensure supervision practices align with BACB standards and state regulations.
  • Identify learning barriers and implement strategies to support growth.
  • Partner with leadership to align clinical practices with payer requirements.
  • Support quality assurance efforts and maintain strong communication across teams.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Java Autism Services.
  • Foster a culture of growth, feedback, and continuous learning.

About The Role

Role Responsibilities
Mentorship and Supervision Leadership

Clinical Oversight and Support
  • Ensure supervisees are implementing services with fidelity across settings including home, community, and clinic

Program Development and Quality Improvement
  • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Development to continuously refine and enhance the supervision program
  • Ensure supervision practices align with BACB standards and the statutes and rules set forth by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners
  • Identify learning barriers and implement strategies to support growth
Collaboration and Compliance
  • Partner with leadership to align clinical practices with payer requirements
  • Support quality assurance efforts and maintain strong communication across teams
Culture and Leadership
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Java Autism Services
  • Foster a culture of growth, feedback, and continuous learning
