Job description

This BCBA role is built differently and that’s intentional. ABA Advantage is not a high-volume, productivity-driven ABA provider. We are a values-driven team committed to ethical, relationship-based care that truly improves the lives of children, families, and the technicians who support them. We are intentionally seeking a BCBA who is motivated by impact, not optics, someone who wants to grow with a company, stay connected to the clinical work, and help shape what high-quality ABA should look like in our community. We are not rushing this hire. We are looking for the right clinician.

Who We Are

ABA Advantage provides in-home and outpatient ABA services in Metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona, with a strong focus on:

  • Behavioral regulation and developmental needs
  • Real-life functional outcomes
  • Strong collaboration with families and RBTs
  • Ethical, individualized programming

Our culture is warm, professional, and accountable. We believe that when clinicians and technicians are supported well, families receive better care.

Who This Role Is For

This position is a strong fit for a BCBA who:

  • Wants to grow with a company and help shape clinical direction
  • Values mentorship, collaboration, and leadership support
  • Enjoys staying clinically connected through some 1:1 work
  • Focuses on behavior, regulation, and developmental progress over purely academic programming
  • Prefers working with children 6-14, including higher functioning/socially complex profiles
  • Leads through collaboration and coaching - not micromanagement
  • Is comfortable having kind-but-direct conversations with staff and caregivers
  • Enjoys mentoring and developing RBTs beyond checklist supervision
  • Has in-home experience (preferred) or is open to being trained with strong mentorship
Position Overview

As a BCBA at ABA Advantage, you will play a key role in delivering ethical, high-quality ABA services while supporting and mentoring our RBT team. Role structure includes:

  • Hybrid model: primarily in-person with flexible at-home administrative time
  • Caseload: approximately 8–10 part-time clients with a structured ramp-up period
  • Productivity expectations are guided by client needs rather than arbitrary quotas. Expectations are intentionally set to support ethical care, meaningful supervision, and sustainable workloads
  • Strong emphasis on meaningful supervision, staff development, and sustainable clinical practices
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans
  • Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and coaching to RBTs
  • Analyze data and adjust programming based on client progress
  • Collaborate closely with families and caregivers to support generalization
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Uphold BACB ethical standards and professional best practices
Compensation
  • Salary: $75,000 – $80,000
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus, paid over 12 months based on retention
Benefits & Support
  • Paid training
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Paid sick leave
  • Health Care Concierge
  • Administrative support with client materials
  • Professional development assistance
  • $500 CEU stipend annually
  • AZABA membership
  • Opportunities for leadership and advancement
Requirements
  • Current BCBA certification
  • Active Arizona LBA Preferred or in the process of obtaining LBA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Empathy, professionalism, and ethical integrity
  • Reliability and commitment to quality care
Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a high-volume, metrics-driven role, a large provider may be a better fit.

If you’re looking for ethical care, mentorship, manageable caseloads, and leadership that truly supports clinicians, ABA Advantage offers something different. We’d love to connect with BCBAs who want to stay close to the work, invest in people, and help redefine high-quality ABA.
