BCBA Clinical Director

Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Executive Director / Regional Director

Position Summary. The BCBA Clinical Director provides strategic leadership and clinical oversight for the behavior clinic, ensuring exceptional client outcomes, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for supervising BCBAs and clinical staff, mentoring future leaders, maintaining high standards of evidence-based care, and fostering a collaborative, family-centered culture. The ideal candidate is an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a passion for leadership, team development, and delivering outstanding ABA services while balancing quality care with organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
  • Oversee all clinical operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality, ethical, evidence-based ABA services.
  • Supervise and mentor BCBAs, aspiring BCBAs, and other clinical team members.
  • Review behavior intervention plans, functional behavior assessments, and treatment recommendations for quality and consistency.
  • Monitor client progress and support clinical decision-making to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Team Development
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain exceptional clinical talent.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and professional development.
  • Foster a positive culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development within the organization.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure compliance with BACB ethical standards, state regulations, payer requirements, and company policies.
  • Partner with operations leadership to optimize scheduling, staffing, and caseload management.
  • Promote efficient documentation and timely completion of clinical records.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement.
Family and Community Engagement
  • Build trusting relationships with clients and families through clear communication and compassionate leadership.
  • Collaborate with schools, physicians, and other community partners as appropriate.
  • Address escalated clinical concerns and resolve issues professionally and effectively.
Strategic Leadership
  • Contribute to organizational growth initiatives, new program development, and expansion opportunities.
  • Analyze clinical metrics and operational data to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to align clinical excellence with business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Arizona.
  • Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of ABA clinical experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and mentoring clinicians.
  • Strong knowledge of ABA principles, ethical standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a Clinical Director or Regional Clinical Director.
  • Experience in multi-site or high-growth environments.
  • Proven ability to recruit, retain, and develop top clinical talent.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and operational reporting tools.
