Job description

About Us:

Hopeful Journeys is a Massachusetts-approved private special education school serving students ages 3–22 with autism and developmental disabilities. Our full-year, 216-day program provides highly individualized instruction based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to meet each student’s academic, social, vocational, independent living, and behavioral needs. Students receive 1:1 teaching in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. Our interdisciplinary team — including BCBAs, special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists — works together to support meaningful growth across all areas of student development.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a dedicated BCBA to join our clinical leadership team. You’ll design and oversee behavior intervention plans, mentor staff, work with an interdisciplinary team of specialists, and collaborate with families to ensure every student makes meaningful progress. This is a chance to apply your expertise in a supported setting where you can truly impact the lives of students and families.

What You’ll Do:
  • Clinical Leadership
  • Conduct assessments
  • Create and monitor individualized behavior plans, and adjust interventions based on student progress.
  • Staff Coaching & Supervision – Mentor and train a team of 1:1 ABA staff and case managers through modeling, feedback, and team meetings.
  • Professional Development – Mentor graduate-level staff, engage in monthly peer review, and access reimbursement for CEU events and conferences.
  • Family & IEP Collaboration – Partner with families, participate in IEP meetings, and coordinate with outside providers to ensure that each student receives individualized and student-focused programming that fosters independence and success across all domains.
  • Data & Reporting – Develop and oversee systems for data collection, ensure timely progress reports, and track outcomes in order to make effective data-based decisions.
  • Safety & Positive Environment – Support safe learning spaces with proactive behavioral strategies and crisis-prevention techniques.
  • This position offers the opportunity to lead with clinical expertise while being part of a highly supportive development-focused team. You will contribute to student success, strengthen staff capacity and independence, and continue growing as a clinician and leader through collaboration and professional development.
What We Offer:
  • Salary: $93,000–$100,000 depending on experience
  • Generous PTO (aligned with 216-day program)
  • Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, life insurance
