Job summary

Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) at USDC work on a residential campus to assess behaviors, develop and revise behavior support plans, and train staff using applied behavior analysis. They supervise staff and ensure ethical, evidence-based practices are followed. Located in American Fork, Utah.

The role emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, data-driven decision making, and ongoing professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • BCBA certification required.
  • At least 1 year experience working with individuals with ID/DD.
  • Strong data handling: collection, analysis, presentation; inform treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify root causes of behaviors.
  • Develop individualized behavior support plans based on FBA.
  • Create and maintain data systems; regularly collect data to track progress.
  • Collaborate with team and families; support behavior health team.
  • Provide behavioral training and supervise staff as needed.
  • Ensure behavior support plans follow ethics and regulations.
  • Stay updated with ABA research and techniques.
  • Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
  • Supervise fieldwork hours for BCBA/RBT certification.

FT / PT Status – Full-Time

Salary – $33.14 - $49.70 Hourly Wage

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities of this position:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments to understand theroot causes of behaviors
  • Develop individualized behavior support plans based on thefunctional behavior assessment
  • Create and maintain data systems, including regularlycollecting data to track client progress and to make adjustments as needed
  • Work collaboratively with team members and family members
  • Support other members on the behavior health team
  • Provide behavioral training
  • Provide or oversee supervision for behavioral staff asneeded
  • Ensure behavior support plans follow ethical guidelines,relevant regulations, and in accordance with best practices
  • Stay up-to‑date with the latest research and techniques inapplied behavior analysis
  • Assist team in crisis intervention and de-escalation asneeded
  • Supervise fieldwork hours for BCBA/RBT certification
Qualifications

Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:

  • Certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectualor other developmental disabilities

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

  • Strong foundation in applied behavioral analysis
  • Strong skills in data systems; including data collection,analysis, presentation, and using data to inform treatment
  • Flexible and adaptable team member
  • Collaborate across the interdisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Google and Microsoft applications
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective behaviorsupport plans
  • Experience in conducting thorough and efficient functionalbehavior assessment
  • Ability to create and provide effective training
  • Experience in supervising behaviorists or RBTs
About the Role

The Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) at USDC work closely with other team members to provide and improve behavioral health support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, some of whom also have mental health illnesses. BCBAs at USDC work in a holistic residential campus setting to conduct functional behavior assessments and to develop and revise behavior support plans using applied behavior analysis principles. They also train staff members on behavior support plans and effective behavior management, including crisis prevention and intervention. BCBAs also provide supervision.
