Job summary

Applied ABC in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks a certified BCBA to manage an active caseload, supervise ABA therapists, and design data-driven treatment plans for students with autism.

You will lead family training, coordinate care with teams, set up data collection, and adapt programs to each client’s needs while upholding the company’s holistic, individualized approach.

This full-time role requires a Master’s degree, BACB certification, and Utah licensure, with in-person work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

  • Active Board certification – BACB exam for behavior analysts.
  • Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, education, or related field.
  • Current 8-hour supervision certificate and supervision experience.
  • Experience creating behavior support plans.
  • Experience administering VB-MAPP, Vineland, ABLLS, etc.
  • Experience with treatment plans and family training.
  • Experience with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in the US; willing to relocate or travel to office location.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active caseload with 120 billable hours per month including supervision and treatment planning.
  • Provide supervision to ABA therapists to support caseload.
  • Lead supervision for BTs or RBTs with evidence-based techniques.
  • Administer skills assessments, preference, and reinforcer assessments as needed.
  • Create programming to help students achieve treatment goals.
  • Develop behavior support plans based on client needs and behaviors.
  • Coordinate family training sessions and explain plans to families with little prior ABA experience.
  • Set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing accurate data collection.
  • Attend team meetings and report on current behavior levels; lead others in crisis situations.

Full Job Description
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Hours: M-F 9am-7pm MDT (Flexible hours and evenings preferred)
Qualifications:

  • Active Board certification – passed the BACB exam for behavior analysts
  • Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, education, or related field
  • Current 8-hour supervision certificate – certified to provide supervision to RBT’s and has supervisory experience. Experience utilizing behavioral skills training
  • Experience creating behavior support plans
  • Experience administering various skills assessments such as VB-MAPP, Vineland, ABLLS, etc
  • Experience with creating treatment plans and conducting family training, social skills groups, etc
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, of all ages
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work in the US
  • Ability to relocate or travel to office location (in person required)
Position Description:
  • Clinic BCBA will maintain an active caseload and meet 120 billable utilization hours per month which includes supervision, treatment planning, BTM (treatment planning with face-to-face component, Parent Training, etc. Travel is acknowledged, but not billable. (Up to 10 hours per week).
  • Clinic BCBA will support their caseload by providing behavior analytic supervision to ABA therapists.
  • BCBA may be providing supervision for BT’s or RBT’s working 1:1 with students, delivering evidence-based supervision techniques such as behavioral skills training.
  • BCBA may not only need to administer skills assessments, but also preference, and reinforcer assessments.
  • BCBA will provide programming to support the students to achieve their treatment goals.
  • BCBA will be required to create behavior support plans, based on the clients’ individual needs and behaviors.
  • Additionally, considerations should be made for families and their level of experience, for family training sessions.
  • Family training targets may need to be explicitly written and explained to those who have little to no experience working in the field of applied behavior analysis.
  • BCBA will set up data collection systems and ensure ongoing and accurate data collection is occurring.
  • BCDA will attend team meetings for coordination of care as requested by the family and be prepared to report on current levels of behaviors. BCBA must be comfortable leading others in behavior crisis situations, utilizing behavior analytic principles.
  • BCBA will need to hold the ability to be flexible and accommodating for companies updates in changes to policies and procedures and work-related expectations.
  • BCBA will uphold Applied ABC’s core principles, of providing the best possible clinical techniques with a holistic and individualized approach to achieve ideal clinical outcomes.
