Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments including FBAs as clinically appropriate

  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate progress and adjust plans accordingly
  • Provide supervision to behavior technicians and ABA staff under BACB and Utah regulations
  • Train caregivers and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and prepare progress reports for insurance and regulatory purposes
  • Ensure ethical, confidential, and HIPAA-compliant care

Job description

We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly motivated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our behavioral health team in Utah. The BCBA will provide evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children, adolescents, and/or adults with developmental, behavioral, and related needs.

The BCBA will be responsible for conducting behavioral assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, overseeing ABA programming, analyzing client progress, and providing clinical supervision and support to behavior technicians and other team members. This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering ethical, individualized, and family-centered care.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments (FBAs) as clinically appropriate.

Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior intervention plans.

Establish measurable treatment goals based on each client's individual needs, strengths, and abilities.

Develop and oversee individualized skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction programs.

Collect, review, and analyze behavioral and clinical data to evaluate treatment effectiveness and client progress.

Modify treatment plans and interventions based on ongoing data analysis and clinical outcomes.

Provide direct clinical oversight and support to behavior technicians and other ABA staff.

Provide supervision in accordance with BACB requirements and applicable Utah regulations.

Conduct regular observations of treatment sessions and provide performance feedback to staff.

Train caregivers, parents, and other relevant individuals in behavioral strategies and treatment techniques.

Collaborate with families, physicians, therapists, educators, and other members of the client's care team when appropriate.

Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case coordination.

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation and treatment records.

Prepare progress reports and other documentation required for insurance, regulatory, and clinical purposes.

Communicate effectively with clients, families, staff, and referral sources.

Maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential client information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Follow BACB ethical standards, applicable Utah laws and regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies.

Participate in staff meetings, case reviews, training, quality improvement activities, and other clinical initiatives.

Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and ongoing clinical development.

Perform other duties related to the delivery and oversight of ABA services as assigned.

Qualifications

Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Current authorization to practice as a BCBA in the State of Utah, as applicable.

Experience providing ABA services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral disorders, or related needs.

Knowledge of behavioral assessment, functional behavior assessment, behavior intervention, skill acquisition, and data-driven treatment.

Ability to independently develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary professionals.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and culturally responsive care.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable federal and Utah requirements.

Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information

Experience supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), behavior technicians, or other ABA staff.

Experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities.

Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.

Experience working with insurance-authorized ABA services and medical-necessity documentation.

Experience providing caregiver training and family-centered behavioral support.

Experience working in a behavioral health, medical, educational, or multidisciplinary clinical setting.

Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical data-collection systems.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
