Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
• Three or more years’ experience in recreation in a healthcare setting.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required or training provided.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and implement therapeutic activity programs to promote healing and well-being.
• Complete activity assessments through observations and interviews to inform treatment plans.
• Coordinate and deliver activities including leisure skills, education, and awareness.
• Lead sessions to improve mental and physical well-being and social skills.
• Adapt activities to meet diverse patient needs and safety requirements.
