Experience Champaign Urbana seeks a Board Assistant to support the Director of Workforce Development. You will prepare agendas, coordinate meetings, take minutes, and help with state policy familiarity and FOIA processing.
This role requires strong organization, data entry, and professional communication in a hybrid Champaign setting. The position is part-time (19 hours/week) with a starting wage of $20.00–$24.00 per hour, onsite or hybrid work, and competitive benefits for staff involvement
The Board Assistant works directly with the Director of Workforce Development to serve the East Central Illinois Workforce Development Board, Chief Elected Officials Board, and Local One Stop Partners. Board service includes creating agendas and packets, communicating with members, taking meeting minutes, coordinating meeting times and locations, preparing rooms (virtual or in-person) for meetings, helping Board chairs facilitate meetings by taking roll call and recording votes, becoming familiar with state policies and local bylaws, completing paperwork (such as certification, appointment, and other forms), and providing other administrative support.
Status: Part-Time
Schedule: 19 hours per week
Starting Hourly Wage: $20.00 - $24.00
Worksite Location: On-Site - Champaign, Illinois/Hybrid (Must be available to attend board meetings in person.)
