Job summary

BMW of Chattanooga, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. Lead apprentices as needed and ensure safety and quality on every job.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years BMW experience, high CSI, ASE or manufacturing training, and a valid driver’s license. Ability to pass pre-employment checks is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of BMW experience required.
• High CSI is a must.
• ASE or manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Manual dexterity and good judgment required.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order per dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts if under warranty or at customer request.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to a test technician.
