Job summary

BMW of Chattanooga, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will supervise apprentices, review repair orders, and ensure customer vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently.

Required 3 years BMW experience, high CSI, valid license, and the ability to pass pre-employment checks; HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3 years BMW experience.
• High CSI is a must.
• ASE or manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• All applicants must pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test).

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and assign to stall area.
• Perform repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain parts.
• Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Examine vehicles for additional safety or service work.
• Notify service advisor if additional work is unnecessary or cannot be completed on time.
• Document work performed and road-test vehicles when required.
