Job summary

Momentum BMW in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will also supervise apprentice technicians and ensure quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, ordering parts, testing vehicles, keeping the shop clean, and staying current with factory bulletins. A valid driver's license and BMW experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must have BMW experience (3 years).
• High CSI is required for service excellence.
• Must pass pre-employment checks including background and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and prepare work for the stall area.
• Perform repairs per repair order, to dealer and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts when under warranty or requested.
• Assess vehicle for additional safety or service work.
• Notify service advisor if extra work not needed or delays.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles or refer to test technician.
• Supervise apprentice technicians.
• Attend factory training classes.
• Stay updated with factory technical bulletins.
• Keep customers' cars clean.
• Keep shop neat and account for tools; follow safety rules.
