Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for the Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic. Provides competent nursing care, coordinates patient care, and reports to the Nurse Manager/Director in a hospital setting. Oncology and BMT experience preferred with strong assessment.

Schedule is 40 hours/week, day shift, Mon–Fri, with no weekends or holidays. Excellent benefits include health, retirement, and generous PTO accruals.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience required.
• BMT experience preferred.
• Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities

• Education - identify and meet learning needs of self and others; assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluation of Care - identify expected outcomes and revise plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - provide care for patients with complex problems; perform bedside testing as needed; follow policies and procedures.
• Leadership - support goals, collaborate intra/interdepartmentally, promote cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - synthesize data to determine priorities and plan care.
• Planning - develop and update care plans with multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - engage with literature to inform practice and bring ideas to team.
