Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Coordinator (RN) to manage administrative duties for the Adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. The role is full-time with a day shift and a hybrid work arrangement allowing 50% remote work.

The position requires Maryland RN licensure (or eligibility via Compact) and preference for 2 years of oncology experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland, or eligible via Compact per MD Board of Nursing.
• Two years of oncology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy and radiation therapy and related side effects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative activities for Adult Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program.
• Validate and appeal reimbursement coverage and coordinate pre-hospitalization testing.
• Maintain financial coverage procedures with BMT Financial Coordinator and Managed Care.
• Facilitate donor registries and unrelated donor stem cell collection for billing.
